Rural Tourism - PejibayePejibaye is a fruit that grows from a palm in the Turrialba area and other parts of Costa Rica. There is a very nice rafting river named after the fruit. The Pejibaye River is in the same vicinity as the famous Pacuare River. When it comes to rafting safety is first and the although the Pacuare is a safe river we keep the age limit at 12. If we have young kids or elders and they don’t want to miss out on the adventure of rafting then we take them to the Pejibaye River. The Pejibaye River is class II & III and still plenty of action to get everyone wet. There is a much less chance of falling out and this river is a perfect fit for those that are not ready for the big waves of the Pacuare. The Pejibaye River is a beautiful crystal clear river that is about a 2 hour run. To arrive to the Pejibaye River you have to drive through some sugarcane plantations and then a small village that is actually called Pejibaye. You will continue on that road and arrive at a small school and that is where we start the adventure. This is a beautiful area surrounded by nature and the sound of many oropendula birds flying around. Reserve Now! Click Here or for further information Contact Us |

Testimonials"Loved giving back to the local communities. It was amazing to walk into the rural areas and feel so welcomed. The zipline and rafting are amazing but bringing us to hang with the locals tops it all. " Michael CA
