Rural Tourism - Brisas del Arenal

Brisas del Arenal is a very rural setting. It is four cabins located in what we have found to be the property that is closest to the Arenal volcano. It is amazing to be able to hear the volcano all night and even the rocks tumbling down its side.

These cabins are owned by a local family and the venture is the perfect example of rural tourism. You enter the property and it is all beautiful flowers, trees, and birds, with amazing views of the volcano. The cabins are surrounded by jungle as you make your way back to the area where you leave the car. Unlike many other hotels in the Arenal area which have grown into large commercial hotels these cabins have kept it simple. Simple ut still well equipped and clean with A/C in the rooms and full service from the time you arrive.

The Rojas family is the family that owns and runs the cabins. They take incredible care of you making your breakfast and more importantly making you feel as if you were part of the family. The father Don Carlos is a lover of nature like no other and he takes all his guests on a hike, walking through the jungle behind the cabins.

Like many areas in the San Carlos area this use to be a cattle farm. It wasn’t until the Rojas family took it over that they decided to let it all grow back. We can agree that they made the right decision as it is home to some of the most beautiful country you can find for the price of no more than just simple cabins.
